RMDD LAUNCHES DIGITAL MARKETING GRANT PROGRAM TO BOOST LOCAL BUSINESS ONLINE PRESENCE
The Rockdale Municipal Development District (RMDD) announces that its Digital Marketing Grant program continues to accept applications, with funding still available in this year’s budget to help local businesses establish and enhance their online presence in an increasingly digital marketplace.
The program provides financial assistance to Rockdale businesses seeking to improve their websites, social media platforms, and overall digital footprint, allowing them to reach more customers and compete effectively in today’s digital economy.
The Digital Marketing Grant offers funding for a variety of digital marketing initiatives, including:
- Website development and enhancement
- Search engine optimization (SEO)
- Social media strategy and content creation
- Online advertising campaigns
- E-commerce functionality
- Professional photography for digital use
- Digital brand development
Recent industry data underscores the critical importance of digital marketing for small business survival and growth. Nearly 58% of small businesses leverage digital marketing to grow their brands, with 75% using at least two marketing channels and 80% emphasizing the importance of digital advertising for success. Even more telling, 97% of consumers go online to research local businesses before making contact.
“In today’s business environment, having a strong digital presence isn’t optional—it’s essential,” added Nathan Bland, MDD Board President. “We’re excited to see how this program will help transform our local businesses and strengthen Rockdale’s economic future.”
The Digital Marketing Grant represents the RMDD’s recognition that modern economic development must address the digital transformation happening across all industries. It’s estimated that 60% of marketing was digital by the end of 2024, with this trend accelerating as consumer behavior continues to shift online.
This program is part of the RMDD’s comprehensive suite of business assistance programs, which includes facade improvements, building renovations, environmental remediation, and structure demolition grants. Together, these programs address both the physical and digital infrastructure needs of local businesses.
